What's been on my reading list?

This year I promised myself I would be better mind, body, and soul. I became aware of how much screen time I was engaged in each day, and it cased me to start thinking. High screen time is linked to a more sedentary lifestyle, higher rates of obesity, and poorer sleep (on average). Usually at work, I'm using the computer all day, then I would come home and watch TV or play Xbox as well as using my phone all day too. So, I set a goal to read two books a month.


I've always loved reading, and last year I subscribed to Book of the Month Club. Ive enjoyed this because I get to choose the book I want out of the 5 titles they provide each month. I try to choose books out of my comfort zone or that I maybe wouldn't have otherwise.

It's nearly the end of April and I've finished 8 books so far (soon to be 9!).

I tend to choose thriller or mystery books, however now all of these fall into that category. I'm working on reading through my massive collection of books before buying anymore. But, what I've learned this past month is how much I love reading. I challenge anyone who also wants to work on reducing their screen time to pick up a book! I hope my list give you a place to start, and if you do choose one of these titles, I'd love to talk about it with you!
